Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Water and Sewerage Schemes.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received a proposal from the Dublin County Council for a water and sewerage scheme for Donabate, County Dublin; and, if so, if he will sanction the scheme and indicate the cost.

Plans of a revised scheme for the sewering of the Donabate and Corballis district at an estimated cost of £92,700 were received in my Department on the 26th instant, and are being examined.

The submission is awaited from Dublin County Council of contract documents for Part II of the North Dublin Regional Water Supply Scheme, which includes provision for an extension to serve Donabate at an estimated cost of £69,200.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of water and sewerage schemes which he has received from the Dublin County Council to extend water and sewerage facilities to council cottages; and if he will name each area covered by the schemes and expedite the necessary sanction.

Apart from schemes previously sanctioned, there are four proposals from Dublin County Council for the extension of water and/or sewerage facilities to council cottages before my Department at present. They include cottages in the following areas:—Tallaght, Templeogue, Bohernabreena, Portmarnock, Malahide, Balgriffin, Swords, Balbriggan, Rush, Finglas, Clondalkin, Lucan, Stepaside, Kilternan and Rathmichael. Decisions on the proposals will be issued as soon as possible.
