Vol. 190 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Greystones Refuse Collection.

11.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the need for a refuse collection service in Greystones, County Wicklow; if his Department have approved of the provision of such a service; and, if so, what conditions were attached to such approval.

I am aware that local residents have, from time to time, made representations in regard to the need for a domestic refuse collection service in Greystones. The matter is one for the sanitary authority and my approval is not required to the provision by them of such a service.

Bhi an cheist seo os cómhair Comhairle Chondae Chill Manntain go minic cheanna. Má eirionn le Cloch Liath an tseirbhis seo dfáil ba cheart go mbeadh sé le fáil ag gach teach tuaithe sa Chontae.

This matter has been before the Wicklow County Council on several occasions. It was first raised there by me in 1954.

That is not a question.

If Greystones gets a rural garbage collection service then every rural house in Wicklow is entitled to it.
