asked the Taoiseach if he will state for each year from 1925 to 1961, inclusive, the official estimate of the population of the State compiled by the Central Statistics Office in the report by that Office of statistics for births, deaths and marriages; if he will state for each of the years 1926, 1936, 1946, 1951 and 1956 the population as defined by the census of population returns; and if he will state the difference, expressed as a percentage of the census returns, for the census years between the official estimates and the census returns.
