asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each of the financial years 1957-58, 1958-59, 1959-60 and 1960-61 whether there has been any excess of expenditure under any of the subheads in the Law Charges Vote which has been met out of a surplus under any sub-head in such vote; if so, the amount of any excess; and the sub-head from which any such excess has been met.

Excesses and savings in 1957-58, 1958-59 and 1959-60 are given in the Appropriation Accounts for those years; these Accounts have been presented to the House.
The figures for 1960-61 are set out in the attached tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report.
Excesses were met from savings on the Vote as a whole.
