Vol. 191 No. 8

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Galway Turbary.

39.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission propose to subdivide the turbary on the McDonogh Estate at Kilthrasoga and Cloonnacorra, County Galway; and whether in view of the scarcity of the turbary in that area there will be early distribution.

The fee-simple of this bog has already been allotted but the Land Commission have reserved turbary rights over an area of 91 acres thereon. It is hoped that final proposals for development of this turbary can be formulated next year. Meanwhile, local demand is being catered for by means of seasonal turbary lettings.
