Vol. 191 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supplementary Housing Grants.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider allowing county councils to give supplementary grants in respect of new houses to farmers of over £50 valuation and to people in the salaried class whose income is over £800 per annum.

The valuation and income limits for the purpose of paying supplementary grants for new houses are fixed by statute and I have no power to vary them.
