asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of the Chairman and each ordinary member of Bord na gCon since the inception of the Board up to and including 31st October 1961 the amount paid to each by way of (a) out-of-pocket expenses in respect of journeys on the business of the Board away from the Board's headquarters and (b) actual entertainment expenses incurred in connection with the business of the Board.

As I have already informed the Deputy, my function is confined to determining, in consultation with the Minister for Finance, the rates of such allowances. I have no function regarding actual payments made by Bord na gCon on foot of that determination.
Does the Minister not think that Bord na gCon should be reorganised on the basis of the Racing Board, in view of the expenditure of public money by the Board and the Chairman? Is there no reply?
