Vol. 192 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New Industries in Limerick.

36.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what proposals have been sanctioned by his Department for the establishment of new industries in Limerick City.

I am aware of five industrial proposals in relation to Limerick city. One of these relates to an extension of an existing firm. I take it that the Deputy is aware of the advance publicity released locally about three of these projects. I am not free to give particulars in respect of the other two as industrial proposals are treated by me as confidential until the stage is reached at which production commences.

On a point of order——

What is the point of order?

There is something in this House that is officially called a Minister, Deputy Haughey, and the language he has used to another Deputy is absolutely scandalous.

Deputy Haughey did not use any disorderly language——

What can you expect from a pig but a grunt?

Deputy Haughey did not use any disorderly language that the Chair heard.
