Vol. 192 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of River Boyne and Tributaries.

26.

andMr. N. Egan asked the Minister for Finance when it is proposed to commence the drainage of the River Boyne and its tributaries, the Yellow River, the Kinnegad River, the Deale River, the Monarch River and the Blackwater which runs into Kildare.

The survey of the River Boyne and its tributaries has been completed and the design of works is in hands, but, as indicated by my predecessor in reply to a question in March last, it will be a few years yet before a scheme will be ready for consideration.
