asked the Minister for Local Government if in view of the need for a central library in Dublin the Government will consider giving a grant to the Dublin Corporation for the establishment of such a library.

In accordance with regulations recently made by me it is open to Dublin Corporation to submit an application to An Chomhairle Leabharlanna for financial assistance under the Public Libraries Act, 1947, towards the cost of providing a central library.
