Vol. 192 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Tipperary Estates.

38.

asked the Minister for Lands if in view of the number of uneconomic holdings in the particular area the Land Commission will take special care to ensure that demands of local people will receive adequate consideration in the division of the Shanbally Estate, Clogheen, County Tipperary.

The claims of all eligible local applicants will be fully considered before the balance of this Estate is allotted.

39.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have acquired the Biggs Estate, Cool-bawn, Nenagh, County Tipperary, for division amongst the deserving applicants of that area; and, if so, when it will be taken over for division.

Proceedings are in progress for acquisition of an area of 210 acres on this estate but, until a pending appeal on price has been disposed of, it is not possible to indicate what the outcome will be.
