asked the Minister for Education how many new schools are required in Sligo-Leitrim constituency and the places where they are required.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate, for inclusion in the Official Report, a statement containing the information requested by the Deputy.

Following is the statement:—

New National Schools Required in the Sligo-Leitrim Constituency.

Co. Sligo: Annaghmore, Achonry, Ballintogher, Carrowmore, Carraroe, Clooneen, Cloonloo, Cloghogue, Coolavin, Corsallagh, Culleens, Dromore West, Easkey, Grange, High Park, Keash, Kilrusheiter, Killeenduff, Scoil Caitríona (Sligo Town), Temple Terrace, Tubbercurry Boys, Ursuline Convent (Sligo Town)—Total=22.

Grants have been sanctioned towards the cost of the erection of new schools at Annaghmore and High Park and new schools are in course of erection at Cloghogue, Dromore West, Grange, Kilrusheiter and Temple Terrace.

Co. Leitrim: Aughnagrania, Ardvarney, Askill, Ballaghameehan, Ballinamore, Drumkeel, Fearglass, Kiltyclogher, Urball—Total=9.

A grant has been sanctioned towards the cost of the erection of a new school at Askill and new schools are in course of erection at Ballinamore, Drumkeel, Kiltyclogher.
