Vol. 192 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Tipperary-West Waterford Schools.

73.

asked the Minister for Education the number of schools in South Tipperary and West Waterford which are at present scheduled as being in need of repair; and the number of new schools which it is planned to provide in South Tipperary and West Waterford.

The number of national schools in the area in question which require extensive repairs or replacement by new schools is 54. Of this number new schools are recommended in 41 cases. Grants have already been sanctioned by my Department towards the cost of erecting 11 new schools in the area.
