Vol. 193 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wool Marketing Board.

21.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether his attention has been drawn to reports that the National Farmers' Association are at present considering the possibility of establishing a wool marketing board to assist in improving the quality of Irish wool, to handle exports through existing channels, and to help to open up new channels for export; whether his Department have held any discussions on this subject with the National Farmers' Association or with any other interested persons or bodies; and, if so, what were the results of such discussions.

I have seen a recent Press report in this matter. No discussion thereon has taken place, or been sought, with my Department.
