I am informed by Bord na Móna that they have at present no plans under consideration for the conversion of sod peat bogs to milled peat. When sod peat production has been completed at some bogs it may be possible to exploit them for a further period for milled peat production but this possibility is very much in the future.
Will the Minister admit then that the reply which he gave to Deputy Crinion last week about the possibility of using the cutaway bog around Ballivor for forestry purposes was a lot of hooey?
