Vol. 193 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Partition: UNO General Assembly Discussion.

33.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for External Affairs if in view of the statement by the Irish Republican Publicity Bureau that force will no longer be used to end Partition the Government will now raise at the Security Council for discussion at the General Assembly the injustice imposed on Ireland by virtue of the continuance of the occupation of part of the country by British Forces.

The activities of illegal organisations have no bearing on this matter and I have nothing to add to the replies to similar questions given on 14th February and 6th December last.

Does that mean that the Minister has not the slightest intention of bringing the problem of Partition before the United Nations?

I have answered that question a hundred times. The matter will be considered at any time it is thought useful to bring Partition to an end.

Is not it a fact that you are prepared to bring every other item under the sun before the United Nations except Partition?

That is not true.
