Vol. 193 No. 8

Committee of Selection—Third Report.

The Committee of Selection reports that it has nominated the following members to serve on the Select Committee on the Health Services:

Lionel Booth, Noel C. Browne, Philip Burton, Patrick Byrne, Jim Carroll, Frank Carter, Michael Carty, Mark A. Clinton, Liam Cunningham, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Brian Lenihan (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Lands), Celia Lynch, Patrick McAuliffe, Seán MacEntee (Minister for Health), John W. Moher, Michael Mullen, Thomas F. O'Higgins, Donogh O'Malley (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance) and Gerard Sweetman,

and that it has discharged Deputy Jim Carroll from the Joint Restaurant Committee and has appointed Deputy Seán Dunne in substitution for him.

I move: That the Report do lie upon the Table.

May I ask whether, in view of the fact that the Tánaiste is on this Committee, the Whip will be off the Fianna Fáil members?

The Deputy had better find out if the Whips are off himself.

Agreed and ordered accordingly.
