Vol. 193 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Loans for Repair of Out-Offices.

20.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will consider taking steps to have extended the time-limit for applications for loans under the special scheme of loans for the repair of out-offices damaged by recent storms, which is administered by the Agricultural Credit Corporation.

I consider that the time allowed for the making of applications under the scheme to which the Question refers, that is, almost three months, was ample. As I understand, however, that a number of applications arrived a day or two late, I have informed the Agricultural Credit Corporation that I would not object to the acceptance of such applications.

Will people who suffered as a result of the extensive damage done in the storms of last week now be eligible?

Sin ceist eile.

That is a separate question.

I think it is the same question. It says "damaged by recent storms". Is not last week recent?

I agree, but the announcement to which this question refers had to do with a particular storm.

It refers to a special scheme.

A special scheme "of loans for the repair of out-offices damaged by recent storms."

A special scheme.
