Vol. 193 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unmillable Wheat Stocks.

22.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount of unmillable wheat on hands as a result of last harvest; if any wheat has since been exported; and, if so, to where, and at what price per ton.

The amount of unmillable wheat resulting from the last harvest is estimated at 80,000 tons, dried, approximately.

Exports of this wheat up to end January, 1962, which is the latest date to which statistics are available totalled 10,053 tons, of which 4,951 tons were to Great Britain and 5,102 tons to the Six Counties. The average prices per ton were £22 15s. and £21 15s. respectively.

Can the Minister say what is the price of imported pollard?

I will answer that question if it is addressed to me.
