Vol. 193 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Labour Court Legislation.

32.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has at present under consideration any legislation altering the scope and functions of the Labour Court; if so, whether he will outline the measures he has in mind; and whether he will consult fully with the trade union movement before coming to any final decision in these matters.

The existing industrial relations machinery, including the Labour Court, is being reviewed and I am not yet in a position to say what legislative changes, if any, will be necessary. It is my intention to have full consultation in the matter with the appropriate employers' and workers' organisations.
