The position under the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1961, of full-time insurance agents paid on a commission basis has been under consideration in my Department and consultations have been held with employers' and workers' organisations. As the matter is proving complicated, I cannot yet give an indication of when a decision may be expected.
With regard to collectors of hire purchase accounts, the position of these workers was referred to in the course of discussions between officials of my Department and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions but no proposals have so far been put to me in relation to them.
