The only relevant information available relates to the number of vessels which entered and cleared Irish ports from and to ports in the categories of countries mentioned and the net registered tonnage of such vessels. I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving this information in respect of the ships which entered and cleared Irish ports with cargoes in the years 1958-60. It is not possible to compile such information for years earlier than 1958 and the data for 1961 are not yet available.
Following is the statement:
NUMBER and tonnage of (a) Irish ships and (b) ships of other nationalities which (1) entered or cleared at Irish Ports with cargoes from and to (a) Great Britain Northern Ireland and Channel Islands, (b) other European countries and (c) other countries in the years 1958-60.
