As I indicated in reply to previous questions, the existing industrial relations machinery established by the Industrial Relations Act, 1946, has been under consideration in my Department for some time. Various proposals for the improvement of the existing machinery are being examined but, as I intend to have consultations with the appropriate employers' and workers' organisations on these proposals, I am not yet in a position to make a statement in the matter.
