asked the Minister for Education in what areas in each of the portions of Counties Meath and Westmeath in the Kildare constituency work on the erection of new national schools and on the reconstruction of existing schools is likely to commence during the present financial year.

Grants have been sanctioned by my Department towards the cost of erecting a new school at Rathwire, Westmeath and of reconstructing Glascorn National School, Westmeath and Longwood N.S., Meath.

It is expected that work on these schools will be commenced during the present financial year.
