Vol. 195 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dún Laoghaire/Rathdown Drainage.

35.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of the Dún Laoghaire/ Rathdown drainage scheme what work has been completed; what work is at present being carried out on the scheme; the number employed thereon; when it is expected that the work will be completed; and the amount of money expended to date on the scheme.

I understand that almost 90 per cent. of the work on the Dublin County Council portion of the scheme in question has been completed, that work is in progress on the balance of the contract and that 33 men are employed. It is expected that work will be completed next August. Approximately £184,000 has been expended to date.

As detailed plans for the Dún Laoghaire Corporation portion of the scheme have not yet been submitted to my Department, I am not in a position to give any details in regard to that portion of the scheme.

Can the Minister say when he expects plans for Dún Laoghaire?

I am afraid I could not answer that at the moment.
