Social Welfare (Amendment) Bill, 1995: Leave to Withdraw.

I move: "That leave be granted to withdraw the Social Welfare (Amendment) Bill, 1995."

As the Chair will recall this Bill was tabled to galvanise the Minister for Social Welfare into paying the due entitlement to the former Irish Press workers. After two months of unnecessary delay the Minister finally acted on the matter. I gather the Irish Press workers have now been paid.

It was the sloppiest work I ever saw.
