asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the dire need of a housing scheme for the working classes at Cloyne, County Cork; and, if so, if he will take steps to expedite the erection of such houses.

Plans for the provision of a six-house scheme in Cloyne have been approved and tenders for their erection were due to be opened yesterday.

27.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the dire need of a housing scheme for the working classes at Blarney, County Cork; and, if so, if he will take steps to expedite the erection of such houses.

I am not so aware. The assessment of housing needs and the initiation of proposals for the provision of further houses at Blarney are matters for the Cork County Council and I have not received any such proposals from the council.
