Vol. 195 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of County Tipperary Estates.

46.

asked the Minister for Lands the cause of the long delay in having the Molloy Estate, Farney Castle, Ballycahill, Thurles, County Tipperary divided amongst the deserving applicants of that area.

The property for allocation in this matter was acquired in three separate lots, possession being obtained in 1957, 1959 and 1961, respectively. The balance pending for allotment comprises some 350 acres. Enquiries into the circumstances of applicants are nearing completion and it is hoped to have development works executed in time for allotment next Spring.

47.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is hoped to have the Biggs Estate, Coolbawn, Nenagh, County Tipperary divided amongst the deserving applicants of that area.

This 210 acre estate came into possession of the Land Commission only last March. It is still too soon to indicate when allotment will be feasible but there will be no avoidable delay.
