Vol. 195 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of County Tipperary River.

7.

asked the Minister for Finance if in view of the statement made by the Parliamentary Secretary when introducing the Estimate for the Office of Public Works he can now state when the work on the drainage of Carrigahorig River, Nenagh, County Tipperary will commence.

As I stated already, the designing of a scheme for this area is proceeding but it will be necessary to follow the requirements of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, in regard to exhibition, etc., of the scheme when prepared. I cannot therefore state a date for commencement of actual works, but, if all goes well, a start will be made next year.
