asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that in October 1960 Mr. Joe Gallagher, Galwolie, Cloghan, County Donegal applied for a reconstruction grant for his house; that as a result of representations he was informed on the 18th January, 18th April and 3rd May 1962 that the file was with the local inspector for a report, and that investigation and payment of the grant would be expedited; that to date no payment has been made; and that following recent enquiries at his Department the information was given that the file was again with the local inspector; and, if so, if he will explain the cause of the delay and expedite payment of the grant.

The file in this case has been referred to the inspector on several occasions and it was sent to him again on 24th May. It appears that the nature of the application has changed according as extra works were carried out. I am arranging to have the case dealt with as early as possible and I shall communicate with the Deputy when I receive the inspector's further report.
