Vol. 196 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Croghan (Offaly) Estate.

44.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the position in regard to the Meleady Estate, Croghan, County Offaly; if he is aware of the large number of local applicants for this land; and when it is proposed that it be divided so as to relieve local congestion.

Proposals for allocation of this 115 acre estate, which vested in the Land Commission only last month, are in course of formulation with a view to its allotment within the current financial year, if possible. The claims of all eligible applicants will be fully considered by the Land Commissioners before allotment takes place.
