Vol. 196 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Laois and Offaly Roads.

146.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is in a position to state what mileage of roads in (a) Laois and (b) Offaly is not now on the county charge, though used by more than one member of the public; and what mileage of such roads has been taken over in each county since 1st April, 1935.

The information requested in the first part of the Deputy's question is not available in my Department.

As to the second part of the question, the mileages of county roads maintained by the county councils of Laois and Offaly increased by 1.3 and 53.2 miles, respectively, between 1st April, 1935, and 31st March, 1962.
