asked the Minister for Finance (a) how much money was collected from dog licences for each of the five years to the 31st March 1962, and (b) how the proceeds of dog licences are applied.

As the answer includes a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

(b) The revenue derived from the excise duty on dog licences is, in common with other revenue, paid into the Central Fund for application to general Exchequer purposes.
