A circular regarding the teaching of history has not recently been issued by my Department to the managers and principal teachers of national schools.
It is time a circular were sent out as regards the teaching of history. Furthermore I should like the Minister to comment on a publication issued lately by the Christian Brothers.
That is not a question.
It is. I am asking the Minister if he will make a comment on this publication by the Christian Brothers. It looks like a horror comic. It is supposed to be Irish history. It is Irish history distorted. It is a shameful thing.
Even if I made comments, the Deputy might not agree with them.
I should like to hear the Minister's comment and also to know if he stands over that type of thing.
