asked the Minister for Finance (a) the total estimated cost of completing the Broadmeadow River Drainage Scheme, (b) the total cost incurred to date, (c) the number and classes of persons now employed on the scheme, and (d) the approxmate date of completion.

The estimated cost of the scheme is £415,000 of which approximately £63,000 has been spent to date. There are 85 men employed comprising 14 foremen or gangers, a storekeeper, a stores assistant, a carpenter, a fitter, 2 drillers, 5 pump attendants, 18 drivers, 40 labourers, a boy labourer and a night watchman. The scheme will be completed about 1966.
