Vol. 196 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Telephone Service.

72.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the serious delays occurring in the telephone system at Drangan, County Tipperary; and if he can state when it is proposed to have a direct line with Thurles installed.

I am aware that delay has been occurring on telephone calls from the Drangan area. Detailed examination has shown that the area will best be served by direct connection to Clonmel and a cabling scheme which will enable such connection to be provided has been approved.
