andMr. Jones asked the Minister for Education the total number of university degrees granted in the entire State during the academic years 1931-32, 1941-42, 1951-52 and 1961-62.

asked the Minister for Education the number of university degrees, not including honorary degrees, conferred by (a) the National University of Ireland and (b) the University of Dublin in each of the academic years 1931-32, 1941-42, 1951-52 and 1961-62.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions Nos. 109 and 110 together. The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose to circulate in the Official Report.
