Vol. 197 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Office Building.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has considered what Government assistance may be available towards the cost of providing a municipal office block in Winetavern Street, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Local authorities provide their office accommodation from their own funds. Where capital expenditure is involved, they are empowered to borrow for the purpose. No grants are made available towards expenditure of this nature. I have received no proposals from the Dublin Corporation in regard to the municipal offices project in question.
