asked the Minister for Local Government what major road works schemes have been recommended to his Department for sanction by the Dublin County Council; and what schemes have been sanctioned, giving details of them.

Approval was issued on 30th October, 1962, to the acceptance by Dublin County Council of a tender for the improvement, to dual carriageway standard, of a section of the Dublin-Naas Road between Brownsbarn and Millbridge Lane, approximately 1.3 miles. Contract documents for the improvement of the section between Newlands Cross and Brownsbarn, approximately 1.2 miles, were received in the Department on 1st October, 1962, and are under examination. Schemes approved for execution under the main and county road improvement grants for 1962-63 include Lower Kilmacud Road, £19,000; Clonskeagh-Goatstown Road, £9,500; Taney Road, £5,000; Newtownpark Avenue, £6,000; LuskSkerries Road, £11,000; Kill Lane, £7,795; Mount Anville Road, £11,000; Walkinstown roundabout, £7,000.
