As there have been very considerable changes in the rates and structure of the salary scales since many of the teachers concerned retired on pension, the calculation of the increases and resulting arrears in all the cases will not be completed before Christmas. I am arranging, however, that in cases where it is not possible to pay the full amount before then an advance payment on account will be made.
