Vol. 198 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foras Tionscal Grants.

29.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the reasons why An Foras Tionscal in their annual report for the year ended 31st March 1962 give details of certain only of the grants approved during the year, and do not give details of grants which have been approved but in respect of which no part of the grant has been paid during the year in question.

Foras Tionscal are of opinion that the necessity to preserve confidentiality in relation to proposals for the establishment or development of industries renders it undesirable to disclose that a grant has been approved until payment of the grant has actually commenced.
