Vol. 198 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Milk at Creameries.

71.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the number of cows disposed of under the Bovine Tuberculosis Eradication Scheme, of the heavy losses incurred by the dairy farmer, and of the general increase in farming costs in recent years, he will consider a substantial increase in the price of milk supplied to creameries during the coming year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In present circumstances, I do not consider that an increase in the price of milk is warranted.
