Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Markets for Processed Beef.

10.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the countries in which markets for processed beef have been sought, and the prospects in the countries concerned.

Within the past couple of years, markets for Irish beef have been found or developed, to a greater or less extent, in some thirty countries, principally Britain, the United States, Germany, Sweden and the United States Forces' European centres.

International opinion appears to be that the demand for beef will continue and Ireland should also continue to share in meeting that demand.
