Vol. 198 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Passage East (Waterford) Fishing Port.

33.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the position regarding the proposed development of Passage East fishing port, County Waterford.

As publicly announced a week ago, the programme of development of major fishery harbours has been modified by substituting Dunmore East for Passage East where subsoil conditions have been found unfavourable. If, however, minor improvements at Passage East can be justified in the interest of fisheries, the question of making a State grant towards the cost in the usual way will be favourably considered.
