Vol. 198 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Exports.

21.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he regards the figures, as printed in the Progress Report on the Programme for Economic Expansion, for agricultural exports as indicative of expansion and of a virile agricultural industry.

The figures for agricultural exports referred to indicate that in the first half of 1962 agricultural exports were valued at £46.8 million compared with £50.5 million in the first six months of 1961 and £36.7 million in the first six months of 1960. Taking one year with another I do not regard the record as unsatisfactory.
