Vol. 198 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Motor Car Insurance.

49.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his attention has been drawn to a report that an insurance company refused to grant car insurance to a man on the grounds of old age, even though this man was in good physical condition and had a good driving record; and, if so, if he will take steps to ensure that this practice is discontinued.

I have not seen the report in question. I have no power to compel an insurance company to accept a particular risk.
