Vol. 199 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition Rules

49.

asked the Minister for Lands when he proposes to bring in new rules for the purpose of cutting out unnecessary delays in Land Commission practice on land acquisitions, and otherwise.

Following discussion with the Incorporated Law Society, agreement in principle has been reached on a revised procedure for allocation of purchase moneys and other funds relating to lands sold under the Land Purchase Acts and also on a simplified system of showing title to such lands. Draft rules giving effect to this agreement will be furnished to the President of the Incorporated Law Society for the prescribed statutory consultation at an early date.
