Vol. 199 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Development Teams in Western Areas.

38.

asked the Minister for Education if he has any comment to make on the fact that no representatives from education were appointed to the development teams set up in the western areas, as recommended by th Report on Small Western Farms.

In connection with the recommendations in question, a central development committee and county development teams have been set up. I am represented on the central committee. As regards the county teams, it was felt that if they were to be representative of all the bodies that might claim representation, they would be very unwieldy. The county development teams will of course consult with all the other interests and give ready welcome to any suitable suggestions which these other interests may make.

Questions Nos. 39 to 43 postponed.
