My Department recently sanctioned for use in the schools a booklet by the Christian Brothers entitled Courtesy for Boys and Girls. The greater part of the material in this booklet would form a satisfactory basis for the giving of instructions in civics.
With some additions which I hope will be made in the next edition, the booklet should meet the requirements of the teaching of civics in primary schools.
I am arranging to have a copy placed in the Library of the House.
