The net quantity of motor spirit, excluding aviation motor spirit, retained for home use was 78 million gallons in 1958, 81 million gallons in 1959, 84 million gallons in 1960 and 90 million gallons in 1961. The estimated figure for 1962 is 96 million gallons.
